Hybrid for Android

10/30/2019

We originally developed Read Ahead Hybrid so that students without iPads could practice Read Ahead with our books and get some of the benefit of the tablet app using Android or iOS phones. Unfortunately, the cross-platform development environment that our code is based in stopped supporting Android a year ago and the app was pulled from the Google play store because it was outdated.

Instead of porting the Hybrid code from Appgyver to Ionic, we are going to be developing it as a web app. This will take a bit more time, but is inline with our plan of making the full Read Ahead program accessible as a web app.

This project will begin as soon as we release the full version of Read Ahead for Android tablets which we are very close to doing. If you are interested in signing up as a beta tester for the Android tablet version, contact us through this link with a current gmail address, and we’ll send you an invite.

We will be updating this page regularly so you can track our progress.
